Pay it Forward - The Problem of Loving Too Many Blogs

Okay, see if you can keep up with Me and Self :-)
Source

Me: Yeah, so just 3 blogs to plug for today's Pay it Forward Blogfest.

Self: Cha, so which ones are YOU going to choose?

Me: *feeling quite put out* ME!!!  What?

Self: There's no way I can pick just 3!

Me: Ohhhh...so just stick ME with the hard job.  Alex and Yoda - I mean - Matt MacNish - are the ones that put this together and they are spectacu-awesome.  Should we pick them?

Self:  I dunno?  Why're you asking me?

Me: *rolls eyes heavenward*

Self: Sheesh.  Anywhatnow..

Me: Yeah, yeah, I know.  It's just...only 3?  I heart ALL my blogs.  Just want to roll them all up and give'em a big group hug.

Self: Ugh!  Focus!

Me: Sorry...okay.  Maria Zaninni is one of my faves.  She encouraged me to take the leap into blogging.

Self: So I can blame her for your new obsession?

Me: Really?  Tangent much?  Besides, you didn't blame her when you were curled up reading her book all smiles and feeling nice.  Now, get back on track.  I love Cate's SSS and 1000th.monkey does SSS as well and I love to read them every time they post.  Oh, and I love the Ninja - Ali Cross - and her dojo.  And there's Elana Johnson.  Her wit is quick and sharp. Can't forget Bookanista Christine Fonseca.  Creepy Query Girl is awesome by name alone and her blogs are always fantastic.  Zap's Lobster Tank, Write.Skate.Dream, and Writing the Other are such wonderful finds, too.  There's Nadja and Isis.  Nadja has the Ren3 piece that has my eyebrow doing that thing (hehe!)  And the recent interview at Isis's blog was so great.  E.R. King, Susan Kaye Quinn and PJ Hoover are so awesome I'd have a hard time NOT picking one of them.  Maybe a  guy blogger like David or Reece Hanzon?  What do you think?

Self: *eyes glazed over, doe in headlights, nobody's home anymore*

Me: *snaps finger*

Self: Wait, what?  Did you say something?

Me: *smirking...hard*

Self: What did I miss?

Me:  You didn't hear a word I said after I mentioned Maria's book, did you?

Self: Uhhhh...

Me: You.  Are.  Hopeless.  Look, I can't handle you right now.  Go find something to read and be happy.

Self:  That went about as well as expected :-)

So if you came here today expecting only 3, I apologize, sincerely.  We - I mean - I couldn't make up my mind.  There are so many blogs I just want to tell you to go to them all!

How did everyone else do?  Am I the only blogfest fail?  Please, this shouldn't be a reflection on this blogfest. It's just, well, the only thing I could decisively do was be indecisive.  :-(

  3. @ Miranda - Me and Self, they are an interesting pair :-)

@ Natalie - I didn't even get to the Wordpress blogs I love, like RaelynBarclay and Shelley Munro's Taste of Kiwi. Oh the shame :-(

  4. I know, it was difficult!
And I need to start counting how many times Matthew is referred to as Yoda today.

  7. SO HARD to pick three. My brain is already doing a splosion as it is. I'll have to check these out (and thanks for the shout out! :) ).

  8. @ Alex - It would be interesting to see how many people refer to the Master of QQQE as Yoday..."With you, the query force, shall be."

@ Matt - It was my pleasure :-)

@ Cate - Thanks so much. I enjoy your as well.

@ Susan - Yeah, the gears in my head just went on strike for a while. Thankfully, they remembered I needed them for other things like breathing and stuff, so they didn't hold out long.

  10. Thanks E.R. I wish I could put all the blogs I visit on there. But then I couldn't decide on just 3 lol!!!

  11. Great job with this, every creative, and I love the list of blogs. Funny because I started blogging because of Maria's blog as well. I used to have a blog before I discovered Maria, but I didn't actually post much. After reading Maria's various topics, I decided to do that myself.

  12. Ha, great way of including a lot of favourites! I found this really hard too, so impossible to pick just a few!

  17. @ Angelina - Yeah, she's probably had more impact than she'll ever know.

@ Sangu - I think it would have been easier to just throw dice and pick at random because any blog I chose would have been a great one.

@ Shannon - Thanks so much for visiting :-)

@ Chantele - There are just so many!

@ LD - LOL!!! Self completely understands.

@ Maria - Now you can't help being so fantabulous that you get blamed for inspiration and moments of fantasy. lol!

@ Susan - and to think the blog hop is filled with soooo many other wonderful blogs. I feel an overload coming on :-)

  21. Restricting a choice to three is difficult. I have to agree about Maria's blog. I always enjoy stopping by Maria's place.

  24. Angela!
Thank you so much for sharing your 'djinn-love'! I'm smiling ear to ear.

You found a way to mention all your favorites (from blogger at least...ha!) in an absolutely fabulous way. I just love your posts every week! Please keep them coming :)

    ReplyDelete

  26. Hi, I love the way you promoted your favorite blogs for PIF. YIKES, I love so many blogs too & now you have gone and given me like 100 more to read. That's 97 extra. LOL.

Your witty post has turned me into a follower of your blog. I will be back to read more after I visit the blogs you suggested (and I have my wrist examined for carpal tunnel syndrome).

It is nice to meet you.
    Melissa

  27. @ Patt - I don't blame you one iota. Perhaps if there were like, 10 blogs in the world that were noteworthy, then maybe I wouldn't have had such a bad time. But....there are so many people with wit, style, personality, depth, inspiration - need I say more? :-)

@ Nadja - Yeah, your djinn story had me grinning from ear to ear. Love it!

@ Tara - Here's the tripped out part. I just figured I'd give everyone a chance to see how the two halves of me have their - ahem - moments. And there it is, in all it's silliness.

@ Melissa - Well I am just so happy you are here. Pull up a chair, kick your feet up and I'll try not to say anything too outrageous :-)

  29. Thanks WritingNut. I love your name. Probably a good description for me :-)

  30. I always choose the cowards way out when it comes to deciding...if you don't participate at all then you don't have to pick. I like your suggestions though...and the way you went about it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL!!! Thanks DL. Even thought I couldn't decide on just three, this blog fest has been wonderful and the linky list has so many interesting people I could be blog hopping for a while.

  32. Angela, I love your posts! They are so much fun -- you have a real knack for blogging :-)

I need to visit more blogs in the Pay It Forward -- I've been swamped with some deadlines lately and even had to post my usual Friday blog on Saturday. Yikes!

I'm gonna enter my email address now to follow your blog this way -- more efficient than remembering to "just visit" :-)

  33. Hey, I was in there! XD Haha. I need to do this blogfest, it's such a great idea. Just stopping by to say I left you an award on my blog. ^_^

  34. @ Angela - Thanks so much :-) It has been interesting. And taking on NaNoWriMo is going to make things...well...guess I won't know until the madness happens.

There are so many wonderful blogs in the PIF blogfest that it's almost impossible to run out of places to get to know. I love it.

@ Francesca - An award...for little old me?

    *blush*

Thank ye loads and lots! Going to check it out.
