And Then There Was Thursday

Yesterday was a lazy day.
Just too cute
Hence, no blog post yesterday.
I'm wishing I could afford this kind of lazy holiday
Such a wonderful dream
but the troops in my wallet are a little busy.  They let me know that there wasn't room in the budget to acquiesce to such a fantasy, but left hope for some time in the far off future.  Not sure if I like that whole "far off" part.

So now here we are at Thursday.  I'm trying to get in some of this (see pic below) so I can actually have something to report n the way of progress on Monday for my BofAN update.
If only my hands really could move this fast.
So here's something for ya, with so many holiday events going on; Hanukkah, Christmas, Season of Bah Humbug, how are you doing with your reading and your writing?

  3. I'm not getting much done, and it's only going to get worse as Christmas approaches. I'm looking forward to the week AFTER so I can catch up on everything I've missed!

  4. I seriously want to be in that hammock. Right now! :)

  5. Way busier than that cute kitty, but not getting a whole lot of actual work done - holiday cards, shopping, planning on the phone... I could use some hammock time :)

  6. I want that hammock, the beach and the sun right now! It's a rainy, gray day in Seattle today, blah.

Christmas is usually slow for me in the writing department but I'm planning to try really hard. We'll see how much I will be able to do :-)

  7. In general, reading goes down but my writing stays relatively consistent. This year Christmas falls right between projects, so no daily word counts, though I do want to draft a short story before January, when I start book #5.

But I usually don't write on Christmas. :D

  8. Reading has taken a backseat. Writing only slightly less so. There's just so much to DO! And shopping and baking and going out aren't chores. I love to do them, but they take all my energy. I'm going to a write-in this weekend. Hopefully that will put me back in my groove.

  9. It's definitely been a challenge to get everything in this time of year. I haven't done as much writing as I would like too. Hoping to do some of that tonight and over the weekend.

  10. I think that lazy days are necessary to absolutely anybody who does something intelligent. You can't even imagine how many holidays are celebrated by Russian! But you will know it really soon :)

  11. I love that kitty picture. I think we all need a lazy day now & then. I've been doing a lot of writing, making up for my lack of progress during the year, I think.

  12. LOL!!! Today wasn't exactly a very lazy day. Been mostly offline.

Alex - I can't wait to get started on her book as well.

    Angela C. - I'm relishing yesterday's lazy day since today wasn't so lazy :-)

E.R. - I'm with you on that, but I'm trying to see what I can get done. Here's hoping for some progress...even if it's just a little :-)

David - CHA! Ya know??? How I wish I could be there. Le sigh.

Susanna - May not be a whole lot of writing but you're keeping yourself busy.

Angela O-P - You know what, it's been rainy here in TX too, from Austin to Waco, been gray skies and wet, wet, wet. Been wondering if the Cullens moved to town lol!!!

CN - Sounds like you've got some awesome writing projects going on. Sure hope you're able to get that short story draft done.

Barbara - I can't say I've been to a write-in before. Have a blast...and what exactly do you like to back because I sure have a tummy that wouldn't mind volunteering to make sure everything tastes just right :-)

Cherie - You've got a lot going on as it is. I'm so excited for you and for Embrace.

Olga - Well now, I look forward to learning :-)

  13. Shelley - You've been a pretty busy author and world traveler. Seems to me you've had a really productive year.

  15. Hmmm... Barbara...methinks I may have to follow the scent of deliciousness to your place of baked goodies.

  16. Writing has been mostly a fail this month. I've read a couple books though. I even got some shopping in, LOL. Need to do some more baking, I'm craving my traditional Butter Tarts :)

Enjoy the time with your Chipmunk, after all, that's what the holidays are about.

  17. I've been tackling my TBR pile! It's still mammoth...

I will write again after Christmas and family visits are over. I've got soooo much to accomplish before Christmas! Hope you and your Chipmunk have a great holiday, Angela. Merry Christmas - Yom Yeshua!

  18. Thanks, Raelyn. You're right. Going to enjoy time with her for sure.

I've got some items on my TBR I need to tackle as well. Good luck with all the things you need to get done before Christmas. And a very Merry Christmas to you as well :-)
