TGIF - Message from a Muse

This is Angela's muse.

Yes, I've hijacked her blog but just for today.  She's been great but what I have to share is that the Queen B that parades as her Inner Critic has actually been quieter than normal.  No, not completely quiet.  Queen B is like some disaster looking for a place to happen but she's been quieter. That has made Angela so happy.  Me too.

So with the possibility of a few hours of writing while there's light outside - instead of under the influence of coffee in the dark of night - I'm off to enjoy the weekend with my writer.  Abigail and Basil will be with us as we work on more chapters for NEVERLOVE.

Sending a call to all muses to do the same :-)

    1. She has to be that way. I think she helps to balance out that snarky Inner Critic.

  2. :sigh: Where can I find one of these nice muses? Mine are always drunk and disorderly. I had to bail the last one out of jail twice. But then I guess in their weird way, their misbehavior gives me the fodder I need.

    Enjoy the weekend.

    1. She can be a nice sidekick to have, especially when I think I've hit a roadblock but it's really her showing me a better way.

    1. Thanks, Erin. Sometimes, I think I take her for granted. She can be pretty darned good bud to me.

    1. I'm just hoping your muse can hear my muse's call. If she's still sulking in the corner, it might be more of a whisper than anything. But hopefully, she doesn't have any more spitballs to throw at you lol!!

    2. LOL, no she's left the corner. She's not being overly helpful but she's whispering in the ear every now and then :)

    1. Since we're both in a good mood - thanks to Inner Critic keeping a few of those terrible comments to herself - I look forward to a weekend of fun.

  11. Dear A.M.,

Stick close to her so she gets a lot done. We'll "see" her next week.

Say "hey" to Abigail and Basil.

  13. Oh gosh. I wish I could have a date with my muse, the two of us alone together ...

But it's a busy weekend coming up, followed by 4 school days and a Friday inservice day that, frankly, looks as appealing as sticking a pencil in my eye.

When oh when will summer vacation get here so that my muse and I can hang out by the goldfish pond and spend the day together with my laptop?????

    1. If your muse is anything like Hammy from Over the Hedge, make sure to keep a laser pen nearby to reduce distractions from the cookies lol!!

  20. Hooray for Muses! My Inner Critic is busy freaking out about my cover reveal on Monday, but I'm sure it will get back to trying to sabotage my writing at some point. :)

Also, I saw you got a RAOK shoutout from Tyrean. Congrats!

  22. Hi, Angela's Muse! Would you please speak to mine and tell her to get her rear-in-gear!!! And please pass a message onto Angela: I hope you're having a super-great writing weekend. :))

  23. I'm so glad for the both of you. My muse helps me to write every now and then, but she knows that my inner critic has to rule if I'm to finish Doorways by my self-imposed deadline.

  24. I hope you had a wonderful, productive weekend with Angela. :)
