  1. My summer vacation begins June 8, and then I hope to sit down and write like gangbusters on my WIP.

Although I worry, because I still don't know how I'm going to pull off the climax I have in mind.

    Fret, fret, fret ...

    1. There's no fretting in writing.

      Oh wait...

Yes, there is. A whole lot of it actually.

Okay, fret away, but do so with style :-)

  2. You've got awesome goals as always Angela. Mine are to keep writing most days and get my blog posts up. I have another busy month coming up. And I'm hoping to read 5-6 books for my July and August posts.

    1. Honestly, Natalie, just writing three to four days out of the week is a huge accomplishment in itself :-)

  3. You can do it!
I'm participating in BuMoWriMo so I can knock out most of my next book.

  5. Your goals are awesome! I always have goals set up, but right now I'm trying to beat a cold, so it's best not to think about them. :) I'll catch up on my blog reading instead.

    1. You attack that cold and send it crying to the hills for messing with you. Oh, and enjoy the blog reading. I'm doing some catching up myself.

  6. Those are some awesome goals! I plan on setting a few myself, but I always find I do better if I don't tell. Wishing you the best!

  7. You have some ambitious goals. I really need to follow your lead and write mine down. Best wishes!

    1. Thanks, Cherie. Writing them down keeps me honest with myself, holding me accountable. Even if I don't complete every single them, having them in front of me helps me adjust as needed as well.

  8. I haven't changed my monthly goal board yet from April! I will repent but May kicked my butt.

    1. I'm with you there. May was just not what I expected. But that's where flexibility comes into play. May your June be a little smoother :-)

  10. I'm not participating in a challenge but I always have my monthly goals. In June, I want to finish the re-writes on my WIP and get it out to my betas, post to my blog every M-W-F and keep up with the blogs I follow (read and comment), and scrap my author page on Facebook and create a new one. I wish us both luck.

  11. Good luck on your goals! :) I always think I'm going to have more time in the summer, but actually, this summer especially I'm going to have less, so I'm going to feel good about ANYthing I can get done :)

  14. What fantastic goals! I'm going for the slow-and-steady summer goal of really polishing my latest WIP and NOT submitting until Fall. That may or may not work, since I'm known to have an itchy trigger finger on the query send button. I'm determined not to sabotage myself this time :)

    1. Good luck with your WiP. I'm sure you can hold that itchy trigger finger for the right moment.

  15. Great goal-setting, Angela. Three cheers for you. :)))

My summer has gotten off to a royally crappy start with the passing of our grandmother. But, I'm off to Colorado next week, so hopefully some relaxing will do us all good.

I'd like to just get back on the writing track for the month of June. I have two picture books I'm working on at the moment and one out on submissions. If I can get all three squared away by the end of June, I'll be satisfied.

    1. Hey Candilynn. My condolences for your loss. Not exactly the best way to start summer time. Glad you've got some time set aside to travel and relax so make the most of it and do that: relax :-)

I know you can tackle the two PB. Wishing you the best for the one this on submission!

    1. I've been reading about other folks getting involved in camp nanowrimo. I better check into it and see what it's all about. You've tempted me :-)

  17. RE: the comment above I'm doing Camp NaNoWriMo in August. This month is just too busy.

And you've just reminded me that I forgot to post my NYR goal update yesterday! -grabs hair- Must go do it now! Right after I figure out what is up with me and your blog.

Suddenly, I'm not following you anymore. And I haven't unsubscribed or anything. I clicked the join site button again and it shows my picture at the top but not in the grouping with everyone else. And I tried to manually add you, but you're still not showing up. Panic mode!

    2. Oh good. Glad that got situated :-) Blogger can be...interesting...at times.

I can see your lovely pic in my wonderful group of buddies. YAY!!!

  18. Angela, all you need is a gold headband / wristbands, a cape, and some red boots, because you are Wonder Woman! Completing a first draft and revising another alone, is pure crazy...plus add in all the other goals?

Um, I'd like some of whatever you're having...cause I could use the boost! Plus, I think dawning a cape and red boots would be pretty awesome, if you ask me.

All I'm committing to in June is FINALLY finishing this last round of revisions (only 5 more chapters to go!), so I can get it off to my CP's, and then finally to Mr. Agent Man for his review! This revision process has been a doozy, to say the least - but man it feels great to be on the home stretch!

Aside from that, I'll say I'm going to read 3-4 books...and of course, I'll wander around the blog-o-sphere - but having come down from April's A to Z blogging challenge and May's Blog Me MAYbe, I may be a little tardy on my posts this month!

Anyhow - best of luck getting through it all, and keep it up!

    1. LOL!!! To awesome, Erin. I wish I could handle the Wonder Woman title but, nah, I'll stick with struggling writer instead :-)

Looks like you've been a very busy blogger yourself. I wish you the best of luck as you complete the tasks you need to address as well!

  20. Heck yes you can! Good luck with your goals.

I am going to launch a book this month. I am also going to revise two other books which have been drafted, but need a crapton (technical term) of work.

    1. Thanks, Elana. You're going to be hecka busy yourself just with the book launch of SURRENDER so I can just imagine adding the work on the other two books will be very interesting. Wishing you well with your book launch and with the work on the other two books.

  21. God it's been so long since I've set writing/reading goals!! I've been so busy with my move and personal life (I gotta update you but let's just say the parachute burned and crashed and I'm picking up the pieces as you so wisely said on the phone :) )
