About Me and my blog

My Photo
I am a lover of books - from classics to steampunk and everything in between. Plus, I'm in pursuit of making my full-time passion more than a part-time gig. This blog is to share about all things reading, writing, movies, TV shows, publication - I think you get the drift. I'll even share the ups and downs of my own journey. If you don't like any of these things, I appreciate your visit, but sadly say you've come to the wrong spot. If just one of these topics tickle your fancy, then please pull up a chair (be a follower of my blog), talk to me and others here (leave a comment) and know that you are always welcome.

Feel Good Friday

Let's all take a moment, here and there, to get in a little extra R.E.S.T.

R - Read a good book.  Or if it isn't such a good book to you, learn from it.
E - Encourage others.
S - Share some good news.  The news stations have all the bad news we can stomach.
T - Think.  It's a had thing to do, but remember that six-second-sound-bites do not the truth make.

    1. You've got a lot going on, so your fretting is understood. But some R.E.S.T. is always a good thing.

    1. Thanks. I've heard more than one person take a six second sound bit for Gospel. All I could do was shake my head when I asked if thy thought about looking for more information and they looked at me like I was crazy to suggest they think for themselves.

  9. This is excellent. The last one is a good challenge to us all -- we do tend to rely too heavily on sound-bites these days. Thank you, Angela!

    1. Thanks, Beth. It takes more than six seconds to do it, but it's often worth it to think for ourselves :-)
