I Am SOOOOO Thankful For...

Soooo many wonderful things.

Starting the week in a tone of thankfulness feels good. And right. Especially with the Thanksgiving holiday staring us in the face. Anyone feeling the pressure to cook several pies, cakes, deep fry a turkey, bake a glazed ham and prepare several side dishes for company of 15 or more...my heart goes out to you. I hope to house-hop and spread my love and Thanksgiving heart with family and friends

I am thankful for...
Blogger buddies, old and new, who participated in M Pax's awesome jousting competition in celebration of the release of her novel, The Renaissance of Hetty Locklear. We knights jousted until the grog called us to the tavern and took over our speech of hithers, thithers, forsooths and harks. I am thankful to be the final victor, a status that came from much s'wounds and pray tells and prithees amid fantastic knights. So many people participated, cheering with robust enthusiasm. Thank you!

I am thankful for...
People who have read and enjoyed Neverlove. On top of getting some pretty nice reviews - BLESS YOU ALL THAT HAVE RATED AND/OR REVIEWED - Heather McCorkle's hard work in bringing a beautiful face to my dream is getting a nod. Imagine my surprise when I went to Goodread's Best of YA Covers for 2012 to vote for an author friend's cover when I scrolled down and splayed my fingers over my pitter-pattering heart at seeing Neverlove on the list. Whoever added it, Thank you so much for feeling it had a place on this list. I'd like to invite all of you to visit and vote as well, please, if you'd like. Click here. I should be #226 unless the list has changed. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure how the list works so my apologies in advance if you go to vote for me and don't see me right away in that specific spot.

I am thankful for...
The chance to share my writing with you all and to have people enjoy what I've shared. The Indelibles, a great group of Indie authors, are putting on an INDIEgiving blogfest. Please visit to enter to win in their giveaway. I've decided to tag along in the giving. Now there is already a giveaway for my novel going on at Goodread's. Click here to enter to win or click in the Goodread's Giveaway widget in the sidebar. So, for this Thanksgiving moment, I'd like to offer a giveaway of a soccer charm for your keychain. Those who've read the novel understand the significance of the soccer charm. When you read it - DO IT SOON :-) - you, too, will understand.

  4. I'm actually not stressing about Thanksgiving dinner, this year. We've decided to have it at home, just our immediate family - 4 kids, me and the hubs. It's time to focus on what and who is closest to us.

Have a wonderful week, Angela, and a blessed Thanksgiving.

  9. Congratulations on Neverlove *in Jeffersons voice* "moving on up" in the Goodreads list! Like Jeff, I haven't eaten deep fried turkey. Actually, the only fried foods I tend to eat are potatoes and seafood. I couldn't even tell you the last time I had fried chicken. Yeah, it been THAT long. Thanksgiving has been pretty laid back for me over the last few years. The only thing I look forward to each year is the ham, the yams and the pie. Mmm Mmm delicious!

  11. Oh wow, am I actually allowed to comment here today w/o switching browsers? I'm thankful for that. :D I will go vote for NeverLove. Just awesome, Angela. I'll be roasting the turkey. Most of the cooking will be done on Wednesday. Then I hope not to have to do any [except for brownie pops] until next week.
