Forged by Magic Cover Reveal

Forged by Magic. Origins is a collection of short stories, featuring the characters from the Forged series. This is the first out of two prequels to the series. Each story is told from a different character point-of-view.
Find out the details about how the Amulet and the Dasht-e Kavir have been created, and how the powers of the Universe opened the gates to other dimensions, letting some terrifying supernatural creatures into the Human World.

About the author:
Angela Orlowski-Peart was born and raised in Poland. She describes herself as European born, American by choice. She was just seven-years-old when she decided to learn English and translate her favorite Polish fairytales.

Angela is the author of the Young Adult and New Adult fiction novels, including YA paranormal/urban fantasy series, The Forged. First book in series, Forged by Greed, was published on September 20, 2012. There are two anthologies of short stories, serving as the prequels to the series. First of them, Forged by Magic. Origins is scheduled for publishing on May 31st, 2013. The second anthology (still untitled) will be out at the end of June 2013. Next three full size novels, including Forged by Coalescence, will be released in 2013 and 2014.

Angela writes in multiple genres, including paranormal, fantasy, urban fiction, sci-fi, and short stories. She loves reading good books almost as much as writing them. She speaks with Polish accent, but loves listening to the Southern drawl.

She is passionate about watercolor painting, fashion—especially stilettos, rock climbing, environment, and organic food and gardening. She lives in the Seattle area with her family and a chronically curious cat.

Still Breathing...

Sometimes I wonder if it's just barely.

Just wanted to send a shout out to the bloggy world, <<HUGS>> to my bloggy buddies and a big MUAH! to readers and friends. I haven't been blogging, though I have shared a thing or two as promised to those before I hopped on this bit of bloggy-break.

 - A novella with an editor
 - Still working through TAFD first draft
 - Reviewing edits of another MS that I hope to begin editing next month
 - Going through mind-thoughts for the next NEO Chronicles: Characters Revealed novella. They'll be on post it notes stuck around my computer soon lol!!

Funny/Cute: My Chipmunk asked me if I would consider writing a Picture Book. I have NO illustrating skills so the drawing part is out. It will take some serious effort to go from dark, YA/NA, semi-sexy or sorta-hot to PB quaint and adorable. But for her, I am going to give it a try. So that will be added to my plate pretty soon.

What's been happening in your neck of the woods?

"All right Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up."

***Got two close ups happening today: One for me and one for DOMINUS***

Mine won't be at Sunset Boulevard. Today, I'm getting a little spotlight treatment at Pure Textuality. Please stop by to check them out.

Before heading over, I am pleased to share this book trailer for DOMINUS by Christine Fonseca.
Click to add DOMINUS to your TBR at Goodreads!
"It’s been six months since my memories returned. Six months since Aydan was again ripped away from me. Six months since I broke a piece of my best friend’s soul.
Six months...”

Nesy has found her memories, her life. Now all she wants is to forget and be human. Only human. But fate holds a different destiny. Forced into a war she wants no part of, Nesy is put to the test in ways she never thought possible as she seeks to fix the mistakes she has made. And the mistakes of her former master, Mikayel. Will she be the Sentinal she was destined to be and put an end to the fighting once and for all? Or will she fail and send humanity into slavery? The future of three worlds depends on the choices, and sacrifices, she must make in this final installment of the Requiem Series.

A few words from the author of DOMINUS:
"Each character's decisions, each twist of fate has led to this - a time when confusion reigns supreme, when up is down and down is up. And when the fate of humanity rests in the balance.  In this final installment, the decisions of the past have come back to haunt the future, and the fate of Nesy and Aydan, Zane and Cass, Celestium and Infernum, hang in the balance. The only question is, who will survive.

This story is filled with anguish and betrayal, love and sacrifice, as I bring the series to an end. It's a story that has been part of my life for many years. Saying "goodbye" to these characters will be a profound experience for me.I hope all of you have enjoyed their stories as much as I have enjoyed writing them." - Christine Fonseca

Critically acclaimed nonfiction and YA author Christine Fonseca is dedicated to helping children of all ages find their voice in the world. Drawing on her expertise as an educational psychologist, her nonfiction titles address issues of emotional intensity, resiliency and giftedness. In fiction, she explores the darker aspects of humanity and delivers gothic thrillers that take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. In life, she teaches her own children to embrace their unique talents and find their voice by being a force of positive change in the world.
When she’s not writing or developing programs to support children with exceptional needs, she can be found spending time with her family, sipping too many skinny vanilla lattes at her favorite coffee house or playing around on Facebook and Twitter. Welcome Tressa Messenger as she brings to the world THIS I PROMISE YOU.
Get your copy from Smashwords!
You only get one first of anything, and no matter the time, or space, or age, you never forget your firsts.

When thirteen year old Nicky Moore’s parents decide to buy a small summer beach cottage at Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, she thought her life would end. It didn’t matter the beauty of the area - land and water as far as the eye could see - she was bound and determined to make her family’s summer vacation as dismal as she felt.

That was until she met a boy from down the beach; a beautiful boy, with the most intense brown eyes she had ever seen and a smile that could light the ocean on fire.

A summer that Nicky thought was doomed from the start, turned into a summer that she would never forget; one full of firsts. It was impossible for her to know years later how one seemingly little decision could change everything forever, but soon, as an adult, Nicky will find out that everything she once thought were real and the promises once made, were lost in a sea of inner turmoil.

Procrastination Station

This train station has many people flowing in.
Sadly, fewer leave.
Credit: MS Word Clip Art
It's Procrastination Station where the ticket taker shouts, "All aboard!" All. Day. Long.

You know why? Because some waited to get their tickets and they're in the very long line that they KNEW would be long if they waited too long. Others waited until the very last moment to look for their tickets only to realize they don't know WHAT they did with them. Most others wander around the station trying to figure out WHY they're there at all.

Where does the train for Procrastination Station go? To more procrastination...when it finally gets people on it to go anywhere at all.

It's Procrastination Station, folks. I've been trudging around the station putting things off, pushing back self-imposed deadlines and baking cupcakes with Chipmunk. That last part was fun - and tasty - but I've been finding lots of other things to do, besides write.

So, I'm pushing through this crowd and making my way to the exit, hooking a left at Get'er Done Ave and DOING THIS!

First step is stepping back. Doing a bit of social media meditation for a few weeks. I'll still smile or Like something here or there.

For those I've already promised a spot or to guest blog, that's happening, of course, but it will be a couple of weeks before I can get things back into heavy rotation, blogging, commenting and doing more with Facebook and Twitter.

What about you folks? Have you found yourself in Procrastination Station before?
