Unrequited Love or Jilted Lover - A love letter to Internet

Maybe it was my fault.  I don't know yet, still thinking about it.
Source

Me and Internet, well, we've been good friends of late.  I slide into his WWW and we cruise through e-mails, blogs and research for shiny new ideas that successfully sometimes distract me from my two works-in-progress.

This weekend, a new guy hit the block.  He's named McAfee.  I thought he would just be a good friend, too...but something happened and Internet, well - it hurts to say this - he just *hiccup*, sorry, the mojitos kicking in - shut me down.  I knocked on his door repeatedly.  But he ignored me.  I threw acorns at his window.  He snapped the blinds shut.  Did he think I didn't care about him because McAfee had a nice firewall?  How do I convince Internet that what we share is special?

I'm working on it, sneaking here to drop this note.  Internet, if you're listening, please - *hiccup*, oohhh...sorry again - please forgive me.  We can work this out.

Ooh sorry. What a pain. I just found out I wasn't getting my digests for my Yahoo Groups and had to fix it too. Good luck.

Ugh, that McAfee jerk, he tried the same thing with me and I dumped him for this dude named Norton.

LOL Yes, McAfee and I parted ways a while ago. :)

@ Natalie - This was certainly NOT the way I intended to begin my week...sneaking on the net when I can.

@ Jennifer - This dude named Norton...I think I'd like to meet him.

@ Susan - With the way things are going, I feel my relationship with McAfee will end up the same way.

I have McAfee horror stories. Not a nice dude.

Grr what a pain! Love the way you've portrayed it, though :-)

Ugh, sorry to hear it! I'm about to dump McAfee for another, hopefully stronger hero that won't allow a hacker to take down the firewall whenever! I'm open to suggestion!

@ LD - You can add my horror story to the list Ugh!

@ Sangu - LOL!! I was so disgusted with not getting to my stuff but I figured it was not the internet's fault...blaming it on McAfee...but tell him :-)

@ Cate - You and I both could use the better hero for protection.

Angela, I gave you a Liebster Blog award today. Just wanted to let you know. :)

I think McAfee must troll the web looking for people to like him, but no one does. It's sad really :(

@ Cynthia - Thank you so much for the award! :-)

@ Angie - I fell victim to him, darn it, and now must find a way to recover from him.

Want me to go all Ninja on McAfee for you?

Angela Brown said...

@ Alex - Would you please??? McAfee could stand some Ninja beat down.

Trend, Angela. Take a sneaky-peek at Trend....he's been watching my 'honey-buns' for the last two years, and I might add that he's done it well.
Excellent humor and wit! Best post of the week....I'm going to have to feature you at least once a month if you keep making me laugh like this, Angela! ~ Nadja

Too cute! Girl, you make me laugh. Lay off the mojitoes (*or whatever) because guys like to take advantage of girls while under the influence. **if you catch my drift, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. : )

Keep up the good work and don't let anybody, anyone, or 'anythang' bring you down! *Thang* country-girl speakese when they feel feisty.

LOL!!! I'm glad you enjoyed the post, Nadja. It was the most positive way I could channel the not-so-happy feelings I had with my McAfee vs. Internet debacle.

I'll have to give Trend a look, especially if he's done such a good job. Got to admit I love a hard working man.

Sherry! Glad to see ya chick-a-dee. Yeah, I'll lay off the mojitos in a little bit...just wallowing in my misery for a few drinks more.

Okay...I'm done. :-)

I know. It can suck, Tia. But I think we are slowing finding a better place :-0
