Slice of Heaven

Pssst...come here.  Maybe you just shoved the clock beneath a load of laundry because the alarm worked a bit too well.  Or, you could be trying to find a way to pull through the midday-dulls.  Maybe you're eeking your way into the end of the work day.  Either way, you deserve a little slice of heaven this Friday.

So readers and writers, for just a moment, take a deep breath and enjoy this time.  It's Friday...and time for a cupcake.  Please, have one.

Best part of all, you can mingle with everyone else between bites.  While mingling, please feel free to share:  What was your favorite thing that occurred this week?

Mine?  Getting my chipmunk's progress report and she got all A's.  I even let her have a little extra ice cream after dinner.

How did you know? I've been craving one of those fancy cupcakes that you get at the fancy cupcake stores in the states. Thanks.

Favorite thing this week was meeting some incredible people via their blogs. One in particular. Life is an adventure. There is no such thing as coincidence.

You guys all rock! From finding money to sending out mss for consideration (YAY!), sounds like it has been a wonderful and productive week for us all. These cupcakes were worth the hard work of virtually delivering them to all of you. And no LD, this will not help your diet lol!! I ruined mine so feel free to join me in my smile-filled non-misery :-)

I like the way you think! Those are awesome-looking cupcakes!

My best thing: seeing my grandchildren - three little ones during a three-city tour.

All A's deserves ice cream. Good for the chipmunk!

I managed to give birth to a new book, despite a difficult labor. LOL.

I'll take the chocolate covered strawberry. I've got to get back to fighting weight.

Mmmm. Cupcakes.

This week... Fall break for my kids! And since I work at their school, fall break for me, too! It's been an awesome four-day weekend.

Congrats on your daughter's progress report! She rocks.

Best thing this (last) week was a list of book reviewers a friend shared with me. The calorie free cupcakes definitely are a close second.

Congratulations on your daughter's grades. What grade?

My favorite thing that occurred this week was watching my son play violin.

This is great! We play this game every night at supper! (The 'what's the best and worst thing that happened to you today') I'm glad to see we're not the only ones who have this fun little game!

My best thing this week - I made Giada's Citrus Rice Salad with my Kurdish meat patties....MMhh-mmmh-hhmmm. Divine! And...(yes, it gets better) I make rice pudding for dessert (<3<3<3 my favorite dessert ever!)
My worst thing this week - I sold only 3 copies of my book! Meh.

Chipmunk is in the second grade and loving it? (oh goodness, she's growing up on me bit by bit)

And Nadja, that sounds so delicious I just salivated. Now I must find food, food and more food.

Nom, Nom :-)
