IWSG - Peace for Me

Deets and blog list here
First Wednesday of the month, we gather the IWSG to share in the good, the bad and the ugly of being a writer. It's therapeutic. It's supportive and it's helpful knowing you don't have to suffer or celebrate alone.

Right now, I'm at a pretty decent spot. I've started things rolling with my alter ego, Rayven Godchild. And I've got my Post it Notes set for my February goals.

It's been quiet on the kiddo front because my daughter is maturing and we're getting along rather well. She's only 9 so I'm going to keep holding hope for some decent pre-teen and teen years lol!!

Each day I strive to think positive thoughts when I wake up, banishing any negative. I want to be like Alice in the movie Alice in Wonderland, or at least what she said her father said :-) I want to believe I'm capable of completing 6 impossible things before breakfast. Such dreams can come true when we believe.

What "impossible" would you like to conquer in your world?

So important to stay positive. Enjoy the quiet time with your daughter because as she gets older and more into her own activities, it will get busier.

Enjoy your daughter! As for the impossible I'd like to conquer, it wouldn't be realistic to aim for it. ~Miriam

Gotta love those times with your daughter! Sometimes I call in sick for them and we all go to Disneyland for the day. Just so I can spend more time with them.

The thing that has seemed impossible to me for the last several months is finishing this third book that's giving me so much trouble. However, Mother Nature keeps giving me snow days to work on it. When you've got encouragement from a high-up authority like that, you just have to keep going, right?

A great thought, Angela. I too, try to think positive. Life hands us so many negatives, we need to balance it out by thinking positive thoughts!

Angela, I love your positive attitude! And really, it's all about attitude, isn't it? Thanks for the smiles

Ah, conquering the impossible... can you guess what that would be? Thanks for the positive smiles today. :)

I think I'll settle for making it to lunch. The last 24 hours have been stressful to say the least. But it's a ripple and I'll be back on top again. Soon. Maybe. :)

Oh! I forgot about that Alice quote. I think I need to get it in vinyl lettering for the craft room. Thanks for sharing your positive outlook with us today. I'm going to take it and run with it.

And, if it's any help or more hope, I always had a great relationship with my mom. She was and is still one of my best friends. So, it could happen!

Sounds like you got it going on, girl.
Time and what I do is usually a challenge for me.
I'm all about making sure I have more time.

Glad you are fitting into the new author role.
Reaching the end of the IWSG posts is starting to feel impossible right now...

I love positive thinkers and strive to be one myself. Sometimes it's tough.

I'm glad there are people like you out there!

That's a great goal. I try to keep my thoughts positive too. Somedays I find that very hard. Yet onward and onward I go.

You've got a great attitude and I love that Alice-Carroll quote too! I'd like to get a sequel novella to my new adult novella published and I want to start attending writers' conventions again.

I'm so happy it is all falling into place, Ms. Godchild - just love that name so much. :)

I like the quote too, a lot!

Hello from IWSG!

Banishing negative thoughts is both an art and a skill. Teach me how to do that would you?

The impossible thing I'd like to conquer is finishing my novel. I'm on chapter 8 and I gave myself until June to get it finished and it's not even half done.
